Development

Leadership SchoolVince Lombardi once said,

"Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work."

I agree wholeheartedly, and the support we've received from all of you this past year is proof that you do as well. We continue to be amazed and grateful at the outpouring of support for all that we do. But wait, there's more...

As we enter our 15th Anniversary year at High 5, I am thrilled to say that I've never been more excited in my career than I am at this time. Our board and staff have built a 3-year strategic plan that I am certain is destined to shape the future of High 5. With persistence and tenacity, we have developed high-quality programs that are poised to grow in breadth, depth, and impact. We are also at a turning point in needing to develop the organizational and financial capacity to keep pace with our growth. And you, our donors, are part of that team.

  • Joe & Carole Falcone have continued to support our Edge of Leadership program with their $25,000 pledge three years ago. Their contributions have allowed over 20 high school students to attend our 3-day summer program.
  • C & S Wholesale Grocers based in Keene, NH and Brattleboro, VT, sponsored three local schools this year to develop Edge of Leadership programs. Over 175 students and staff have been involved in this effort.
  • Dan Paille of the Boston Bruins NHL hockey team has signed on to serve as a spokesperson for the Edge of Leadership program. He will visit some of our schools' programs and our summer Edge of Leadership session and be filmed for an interview about leadership development.

Your support, like theirs, is a gift that unleashes the leadership capacity of youth in our communities. And with your continued support, we are building a more solid foundation to help High 5 and its programs expand their reach. I promise you that you will never regret supporting High 5. Please consider giving generously.

Thank you,
Jim Grout - Executive Director
