Director's Corner

From the Director - Jim Grout

Welcome to High 5's website

We hope you'll find this updated format provides you with information about High 5 programs and services in a user friendly manner that is second only to calling our office and speaking to us in person.

In January of 2000, six dedicated individuals with a rich history in adventure education created the High 5 Adventure Learning Center to provide educational programs via our trainings, challenge course building and direct service programs to schools and organizations throughout the United States.

And after more than a decade, thousands of trainings, hundreds of new challenge courses and countless programs with young people, we remain solid and steady on our path to empowering people, building programs and creating change.

Expanding our services with new partnerships

And change is starting right here at High 5. Over the past year we have forged some new partnerships that will help us expand the depth and breadth of our services.

The Windham Foundation based in Grafton, Vermont along with the Grafton Village Cheese Company and The Old Tavern have teamed up with us and we've created a unique and very hands on team building experience immersed in the art of making award winning Grafton Village Cheese. This experience combined with our more traditional teambuilding activities has made for a one of a kind educational experience.

And speaking of education, we have also partnered with Vermont Academy, a small independent high school based in Saxtons River, Vermont to create a state of the art indoor facility for High 5 workshops. We now have the capability to offer workshops all year long. Vermont Academy and High 5 will also be joining together to develop educational programs using an experiential approach to learning.

Stay tuned for more exciting ventures!

These are just two of the new and exciting ventures taking place at High 5 these days. To keep up to date with all that's happening visit us regularly on this web page or check us out on Facebook or sign up on our home page for our enewsletter.

Thanks for working with us,
Jim
