Massachusetts Regulations

zip lineIn 2007 the Commonwealth of Massachusetts began requiring all challenge courses and climbing walls to be inspected and licensed by the Department of Public Safety under their "Amusements" Division.

High 5 participated on a committee within the ACCT that worked with the state while legislation was being crafted, in order to try to lessen the impact of this legislation on our customers. But the end result is that if your course is in Mass. then you are required to inspect and register with the state annually.

We can help. All of our lead builders are currently licensed by the state to inspect challenge courses and climbing walls. We can provide your inspection and help get you started with the paperwork required for this process.

The Massachusetts State website has the required licensing forms for you to download and fill out.

More information about the Massachusetts regulations can be found on their website. See the Frequently Asked Questions about Challenge Course and Climbing Wall Facilities Regulations and Requirements.

We can also provide to our customers other samples and documents that will help you endure the process.
