Sam Harlow

Samantha (Sam) Harlow recently joined the Edge of Leadership team and will help create and implement Professional Development opportunities for educators. She comes to us with a background in both public and private schools, where she taught primarily high school English as well as taking on various administrative roles and developing programs in Project Based Learning. Her interest in adventure education dates back to her time as a student (1999) and later as a teaching apprentice (2007) at the High Mountain Institute in Leadville, CO. 

Sam is looking forward to returning to adventure education and bringing the concepts of Connect, Empower, and Lead to educators and classrooms throughout the region. When asked about her first impressions of High 5, Sam notes that the High 5 staff as a whole have traveled various paths and there are a wide array of interests, skills, and experiences in our teams, which gives our adventure-based learning multiple dimensions and makes collaboration a blast. She goes on to say, “High 5 is a very fun and talented group of people! I’m happy to have landed here at this point in my career as an educator.”
