New to the Edge of Leadership (EOL) team in 2019, Sam brings a depth of social-emotional teaching skills and outdoor experience to the EOL classroom. As a teacher, Sam is passionate about life-long learning, creating genuine connections with students, and the power of learning through experience. Sam is the first to admit, “I have always learned best by doing – fully engaging in an activity.” Students will benefit greatly by her hands-on approach to learning, and by her intelligent commitment and sincerity that shines through in her work. “I want to make deeper and longer-lasting connections with students and share my love of the outdoors.” We can’t wait for the students to meet Sam this fall when she joins Ryan and Anne Louise in the Keene classrooms!
Sam’s commitment to life-long learning applies to herself as well. After earning a BA from Bowdoin College with a minor in Education, she completed a Master’s of Education from Plymouth State University with a focus on Experiential Learning and Development – a perfect compliment to her work at High 5 that promotes learning by doing.
