Connect. Empower. Lead…Be The Example. These words define our mission at High 5 Adventure Learning Center. The rapidly-changing world of the 21st century is calling for a new kind of leadership. Not leadership from the top, but leadership that draws on the wisdom and talents of every person in the group; in the classroom, at the office, with the team, and at the institution. It calls for leadership that doesn’t depend on a college degree or a professional promotion for its empowerment, but leadership that draws a group of individuals into becoming innovative problem-solvers, collaborative creators, nimble adapters, and trustworthy teammates pursuing a shared mission. It calls for leadership by example.

As a nonprofit educational organization, High 5 is recognized worldwide for its brand of adventure and experiential education programs, and the leadership training that has become its hallmark. Some of the world’s most respected schools, colleges, sports teams, institutions, and businesses turn to us every year for help to improve the way they live, learn and work together.

The work we do establishes strong connections between individuals. Success is based on insight and understanding, empowerment through developed confidence and shared responsibility, and leadership that recognizes strength and weakness and forges a powerful collective.

Types of Gifts

Depending on how you want to support High 5, there are several types of gifts that can help you achieve your goal:

Annual Fund gifts provide unrestricted operating support, helping to pay for many of our programs and the research that makes them better year after year. All gifts, small and large, benefit High 5 and the work that we do.

Capital Campaign gifts provide the funds we need to purchase the property we have leased for the past 16 years, including approximately 30 acres of land, a small group of seasonal cabins, our state of the art challenge course, and activities space. These commitments are often made in the form of a pledge, payable over a period of years, consistent with your situation.

Endowment gifts help to guarantee the future financial strength of High 5 Adventure Learning Center, allowing us to plan each year with confidence. Endowments are permanently invested funds that provide an annual income, which can be unrestricted in use or restricted to a particular purpose, like scholarships.

Planned gifts, including bequests, can be made easily through your will, and life income gifts, which provide you or a loved one with a life income and benefit High 5 in the future, can be tailored to respond to your financial needs and situation.

Ways to Give

Your gift can be made in any increment and can be a one-time contribution, or a sustaining gift, where a specific amount is charged to your account each month, allowing you to distribute your gift to High 5 over the entire year.

Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares is quick, simple and secure and may provide you with significant tax benefits in the form of a charitable contribution deduction and avoided or reduced capital gains taxes.
