Chris Ortiz

Chris Ortiz is the Associate Director of Leadership Development and oversees the Team Development Center at Shaver’s Creek. He is also an instructor for the Recreation Parks and Tourism Management Department at Penn State University where he teaches Leadership and Group Dynamics.  Before returning to academia, Chris worked for 10 years at High 5 Adventure Learning Center as the Director of Training and Team Development. In addition to his depth of experience and knowledge of challenge course training and team development programs, he has held leadership roles in both the Association for Experiential Education(AEE) and the Association for Challenge Course Technology(ACCT). Chris travels frequently to present at conferences, including the High 5 Annual Symposium, where he shares innovative programming and activity ideas.
