Elyse Norton

Elyse joined the High 5 team in 2026, with over 14 years in adventure learning as a challenge course facilitator and trainer, and as a choir director and music teacher. Growing up in northern Vermont, her parents introduced her to adventure at an early age through a homesteading lifestyle, as well as family adventures hiking, skiing, backpacking, and camping in the Green Mountains. These formative experiences began a deep appreciation for nature, resilience, and exploration.

Elyse believes powerful learning happens through shared experience (in the classroom or up in a tree), reflection, and supportive challenge, leading her to find her home at High 5. 

Outside of work, you can find Elyse off on an adventure with her family, nordic skiing, backpacking, or contra dancing. Closer to home, leading her church choir, playing harp, and gardening fill her cup.
