High 5 partnership boosts student leadership skills

Fifth graders at Green Street School are preparing to lead their elementary school next year. 

They participated in High 5 Adventure Learning Center’s Edge of Leadership. The program is described by the organization as “an experiential framework for developing leadership through real-world practice, reflection and application, used with students, educators and organizations.” 

Before going out for physical challenges, students spend sessions learning about leadership and teamwork in the classroom setting. They are problem solving and managing emotions.
