High 5® Adventure Learning Center is recognized worldwide for its brand of adventure and experiential education programs that are productive, engaging, and have a lasting impact. For 25+ years we’ve been bringing high-quality learning experiences to schools, businesses, therapeutic agencies, and recreation programs.
We are committed to developing engaging and effective experiences that are specific to your needs and result in measurable success. No two client programs are the same; each client requires their own goal or outcome. Some clients come to us with a vague idea about building a better culture. Others are already working to achieve a new milestone, but need something extra to take them over the line.
Our team development offerings are centered around two important concepts: adventure learning as a modality and customization of program design to best fit the needs of our customers.
Whether we’re facilitating a workshop, retreat, or a one-time learning session, we’re designing your program to serve your priorities. By listening to you, we’re able to craft the most effective program for your team.
K-12 schools, colleges, sports teams, government institutions, therapeutic agencies and businesses turn to us to help them improve the way they live, learn and work together.
At High 5, we design and facilitate team development experiences that will be meaningful and relevant for the people on your team. They will learn to perform at their personal best while contributing to a healthy culture. The teams that work with us, regardless of their goal or needs, leave our programs committed to connecting, empowering, leading and being the example of what it takes to achieve success.
Drawing upon our 25+ years of experience and expertise, we’ve developed a collection of themes and specialty topics that have proven exceptionally effective at helping teams overcome obstacles and achieve new levels of success.

In every organization, moments arise when difficult topics need to be addressed—conflict, feedback, change, uncertainty. Too often, these conversations are avoided, mishandled, or cause unintended harm. At High 5, we believe courageous communication is a teachable skill and a shared responsibility of your entire team. As a certified provider of Beth Wonson’s Navigating Challenging Dialogue framework, we help equip individuals and teams with the mindset, tools, and practice needed to lean into hard conversations with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
Jim Grout’s new book, When in Doubt … Give Them Your Heart demonstrates that leadership rooted in connection is leadership that lasts. Individuals and teams transform, not because of some magical formula or trendy leadership theory, but because someone chose to listen, to believe in another, to take a risk, and to lead by example. That’s the heart of this work.
Designed for educators who work directly with students, this small-cohort experience unfolds across two full-day retreats grounded in adventure-based learning, facilitated dialogue, and structured reflection. Educators from the same district explore topics that are universally relevant and often not addressed in Professional Development settings.
Today’s professional development in schools often focuses on what teachers can do for students, but rarely on what educators can do for themselves and each other. to invigorate their passion for teaching. To address this gap, High 5 offers experiential professional development programs focused on rejuvenation, reflection, and building meaningful connections — all grounded in the principles of adventure education and social emotional learning.
